Our Customer Service Representative-Kayla
Kayla has been working at Peaks to Prairie Animal Care since the beginning, minus her much needed maternity leave! She is the one who is most commonly behind the phone/computer answering calls, texts and emails! A big part of her job is keeping things flowing smoothly by scheduling appointments, answering questions, communicating with clients, and being the point of contact for the rescue groups we serve.
Prior to joining Peaks to Prairie Animal Care, Kayla had no experience in the veterinary medicine field, but she did have many years of customer service/receptionist experience! The skills she brought with her have been of great benefit to our team. Serving rural communities with vet care as part of our team has been a bright spot for her, and she is happy to help wherever it is needed.
Kayla has lived in Billings, MT her whole life and spends her days off with her fiancé, newborn son and 3 dogs. She has enjoyed taking on a whole new field of work by learning things daily that help us provide the best care for our patients as well as for her own pets.
Our Assistant-Charlee
Charlee has been working at Peaks to Prairie off and on since we started the practice in July 2024. She has a variety of jobs-during any given day you will find her answering calls/messages, tackling our never-ending laundry needs, cleaning kennels, tidying up all our work areas, restocking supplies, wrapping surgery packs, helping prepare surgery patients, and monitoring patients during surgical procedures. Her favorite thing to do at the clinic is helping to care for patients by giving them comfort and carefully holding them for vaccines or blood draws. In her role as an assistant, she also enjoys learning new skills and big vocabulary words.
Animals have been a big part of Charlee’s life! She has had many special pets, from cats and dogs to horses and sheep. She currently has two cats–Sweet Potato and Estella. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys the outdoors and trying new things.
